news-category: Transfer programs Florence-Darlington Technical College Partners with 厙ぴ勛圖 to Offer Transfer Agreement By Office of University Communications On November 7, 2024 Agreement Simplifies Transfer Process for FDTC Student to GWU BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.Officials from 厙ぴ勛圖 and Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) in Florence, S.C., signed transfer agreements in a virtual ceremony on Nov. 5. The contract paves the way for qualified students in FDTCs Associate of Applied Science programs to pursue bachelors degrees at 厙ぴ勛圖. These new transfer agreements are another important win for students and employers in our region, emphasized 厙ぴ勛圖 President Dr. William M. Downs. The pathways leading to GWU are increasing in number, and I thank the leaders at our respective institutions for expanding the opportunities available to students wishing to earn a four-year degree in business-related fields. Were all very eager to welcome graduates from FDTC into our accounting, marketing, and management programs. Joining Downs at the signing were FDTC administration and facultyPresident Dr. Jermaine Ford, Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Luegina Mounfield and Department Chair Pete Gioldasis. Officials from Florence-Darlington Technical College participate in the signing. Representatives from 厙ぴ勛圖 included Provost Dr. Karen Aubrey and Dean of the Godbold College of Business Dr. Mischia Taylor. FDTC President Ford stated, We want our students to continue their education and expand their career opportunities. Agreements like this one with 厙ぴ勛圖 allow our students to have peace of mind that the credits they earn here will transfer directly to the four-year college of their choice. Im excited that our students can continue to expand their options through this great partnership. The agreement lists the FDTC programs and related courses that will be accepted for transfer credit, specifically: The AAS in Accounting can be used toward completion of a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. The AAS in Management can be used toward completion of a Bachelor of Science in Management. The AAS in Marketing can be used toward completion of a Bachelor of Science in Management. The AAS in Marketing can be used toward completion of a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Other courses will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the GWU Registrars Office. To receive credit for a course, a student must have earned a C (2.0) or better in that course. For specific details about courses and transfer credits, FDTC students should contact the FDTC Academic and Career Advising Center.
