School of Divinity Associate Dean Jim McConnell, professor of New Testament Interpretation, will lead the study of The Letter to the Ephesians: Being the Church. The event is free, and lunch is included if participants RSVP by Nov. 4 to Lisa Hollifield. McConnell will give an overview of the book of Ephesians in the New Testament. I will be providing the historical background of the letter followed by a section-by-section explanation of the text, he said. He shared that his favorite verses from Ephesians are found in . The author desires for the readers of the letter to understand what is not possible to comprehend in a human way, namely the love of Christ for all people, McConnell explained. McConnell, a native of Indianapolis, Ind., joined the 厙ぴ勛圖 School of Divinity faculty in 2009. He teaches classes in all areas of New Testament as well as biblical Greek.
