Alpha Sigma Lambda Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society was established in 1946 to honor superior scholarship and leadership for adult students. It is the largest and oldest chapter-based honor society for full and part-time adult students, with chapters at more than 250 colleges and universities. ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï established an Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter in 2005. GWU Online students who meet the following criteria are invited to join the honor society: Has matriculated with a minimum of twenty-four graded semester hours taken through and graded at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï in an undergraduate degree program. These college credits must not include transfer credits. Members shall be selected only from the highest twenty percent of the class who have earned eight-eight overall credits and are matriculated in an undergraduate degree program. Those selected must have a minimum grade point index of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale at ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï, as well as a 3.5 overall, including all colleges previously attended. The cumulative scholastic record of the student as interpreted by ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï shall be the basis for computing scholastic eligibility.
